Clear expectations

Service terms.

Understand the work, the cost and the next step before you commit.

Last updated 28 October 2026. This website currently accepts initial enquiries only. A request does not create a paid engagement or authorise a registration, lodgement or purchase.

How we get started

01 · REQUEST

Tell us what you need. No payment or registration happens when you submit.

02 · REVIEW & AGREE

We confirm scope, total charges, who will provide the work and any authority required. You review and accept the written engagement.

03 · PAY & PROCEED

We send the agreed invoice or payment link. Work proceeds under the accepted engagement once required information, authority and payment are in place.

1. Who provides the service

Total Business Solutions (QLD) is operated by Kay & Associates Pty Ltd. We provide business setup assistance, bookkeeping and business support, administration, business software and systems support, and artwork setup and printing coordination.

We are a private business support service, independent of the ABR, ATO and ASIC. This website does not represent that TBS is a registered tax agent or a law practice. If a request needs a registered practitioner, we will identify that provider, their role, fees and engagement arrangements before accepting that work.

2. Scope and authority

We review each request before offering a service. The written quote or engagement will identify the tasks, deliverables, exclusions, responsibilities, expected timing and payment requirements. An engagement begins only when you and TBS accept it in writing.

Submitting the online form does not authorise us to lodge an application, make a tax election, register a name, buy a domain or subscription, or incur a supplier charge. Any necessary authority and verification must be completed separately before that action.

Changes or extra work require an agreed scope and price before we proceed. Company, trust and partnership work is quoted individually; legal documents and tax advice are not included unless expressly covered by an appropriate separate engagement.

3. Fees and external costs

Website prices are in Australian dollars and TBS service fees include GST. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the written quote, government fees, domain costs, mailbox subscriptions and other supplier charges are additional.

Before requesting payment, we will confirm the service fee, external charges, GST treatment, total payable and any ongoing or renewal costs relevant to the agreed service. We will explain which costs you pay directly and which, if any, we pay with your authority.

The ABR does not charge a government fee to apply for an ABN. Our ABN assistance fee pays for the agreed assistance service. You can apply directly through the Australian Business Register.

Payment timing will be stated in your engagement or invoice. We do not enrol you in an ongoing service, renewal or recurring payment merely because you submit a request or purchase a one-off setup service.

4. Starter Package

The standard Starter Package service fee is $399.00 including GST, plus government and supplier charges confirmed before proceeding. It covers standard ABN assistance, one business name, one domain and setup of one business mailbox, including domain settings, email authentication and a basic signature.

It is subject to eligibility, availability and the agreed scope. Website building, bookkeeping and software setup, migrations, ongoing support, government fees and supplier subscriptions are excluded. Additional services are quoted separately.

5. Your information and accounts

Please provide complete, accurate information, check drafts and tell us promptly about changes. You remain responsible for business decisions, declarations and obligations that are yours under the applicable law.

Do not send TFNs, identity document numbers, passwords, one-time codes or bank details through the initial form. If sensitive information or account access is needed, we will explain an appropriate method separately. Domain and software account ownership and administration will be agreed before setup.

We use your enquiry details to assess, respond to and manage your request. Submissions are stored in the website request system and access is restricted to authorised administration. The initial form does not send an application to a government agency or supplier. Email info@tbsolutionsqld.com with information-handling, access or correction questions. Further handling needed for a specific service will be explained before proceeding.

Website advertising measurement

We use the Google Ads tag on our public enquiry and setup pages to understand whether advertising leads to a successfully saved request. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, page address, advertising identifiers and cookie information. Cookies may link an ad interaction to a later enquiry.

Our conversion event includes an opaque request reference to prevent duplicate counting. We do not include your name, email address, phone number or enquiry text in that event, and do not enable enhanced conversions or personalised advertising signals in this tag. Private administration pages do not load this tag. Browser privacy controls and content blockers may limit measurement. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google ad privacy controls. Contact info@tbsolutionsqld.com with questions.

6. Timing and outcomes

We will explain expected timing once we understand the request. Government and supplier processing, name or domain availability, eligibility checks and missing information can affect completion. We will let you know of material delays or additional steps.

We do not guarantee an ABN, registration approval, name or domain availability, or a particular tax outcome. This does not reduce our obligation to perform the agreed service with appropriate care and skill or your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Contact us by email as soon as you want to cancel or pause. We will confirm what work has been performed and whether a registration or supplier order has already been submitted.

For a change-of-mind cancellation, any amount retained must reflect work properly performed within the accepted scope and external costs you authorised that cannot reasonably be recovered, as explained in the engagement. We will provide a breakdown and refund the unused balance. We will not charge twice for the same work or impose a blanket no-refund rule.

If TBS cannot provide the agreed service, we will discuss an appropriate resolution and refund for services not provided. A refused application does not by itself establish whether a refund is due; we consider the agreed work, how it was performed and your legal rights. Your statutory remedies for a service failure apply independently of this cancellation policy.

8. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms or an engagement excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where a service fails to meet an applicable guarantee, you may be entitled to remedies under that law.

Read the ACCC information about consumer rights and guarantees.

9. Questions and complaints

Email info@tbsolutionsqld.com with your request or invoice reference and the outcome you are seeking. We will review the issue, explain our response and discuss the next step. You can also seek independent advice or contact the relevant consumer protection body.

Any proposed change to an accepted engagement requires written agreement. Updating this website does not retrospectively change work you have already agreed with us.
